What kind of hikes would you like to join us on? (backpacking, short and slow day hikes, fast and long day hikes, etc...)

I like them all. I enjoy the fast and or really long ones the most.

Are you new to hiking or have you been hiking for a while now?

  • Tony, This is Nick's mom. Nick fell on Wednesday while trying out his new biking shoes and pedal clips and broke his collar bone. He is having surgery next Thurs and will be out of commission for about 6-8 weeks. He loves the group and loves to ride. As soon as he can, he'll be back. Tell everyone in the group thank you for including him. He's loving it. You've all been great mentors to him. Corinne Luvisi [masked]

  • With all my blabbering, just wanted to say, thanks for getting groups together again. Its been a long time. It's a real blessing.

  • Penny Kephart and I used to run trails for kids camps. It was a lot of fun. I miss ALL of it and want to get back into it. I am however a mom now, and suffering from an auto immune disease whose medication cases weight gain and severe pain in my legs. So, while I likely should turn in my NORBA license, I need to get back out on the trails and have some fun. Who knows maybe I'll get back into the groove again. My last race was my first and only cyclocross race. I miss bike polo too.

  • I'm sort of stuck in the the 90's. We had a large group of really hardcore riders, we built alot of the trails in Cherokee park and Fort Duffield and on weekends raced at Bike Butler and attended the NORBA World Championships in Bloomington. As I recall Morgan beat out Tinker Juarez. It was sort of the prime time of mountainbiking. John Tomac rode Hoosier with us and Subaru sent in a team to teach us how to build trails so we built Waverly and parts of Otther Creek and Duffield.

  • PS, where has Morgan been these days?

  • Hey old man! Ready to hammer down? Montana pass awaits. :P

  • Hi Tony, Jimmy works nights so that's why he can't hike with the group anymore. I'll try to convince him to start a day walking group because I know he misses it.

  • Thanks Tony I look forward to next week. Hope to see you then.

  • Hi Tony! Thanks for the Welcome message! I will start with a few of the more moderate hikes, but will definitely join up for the Saturday speed hikes in the near future!
