Introduction

Hi! My name is Karen. I live in the Highlands moving here from Philadelphia in 1998. I'm looking to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and make some new friends.

How did you hear about this group?

A friend mentioned she thought there was a hiking group associated with the Trail Store. When I stopped in to check it out, Karen gave me your card saying her group did more running and paddling.

What kind of hikes would you like to join us on? (backpacking, short and slow day hikes, fast and long day hikes, etc...)

I'm new to all of this so I'll start out with the easier ones to gauge my fitness level and where I can safely fit it. As I learn more and become more experienced, I'd like to be involved in more difficult hikes that include backpacking. The duration/type of the hikes will depend on my schedule and the timing of the hike. I'm excited to see that you offer a number of hikes throughout the week!

Are you new to hiking or have you been hiking for a while now?

I'm new. I have enjoyed hiking in the past but never in an organized manner such as with your group. Looking forward to it!
